Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti will return to Catalonia before the end of this month to complete the treatment of his left knee pain that began in Qatar weeks ago, the Spanish champions said on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old defender, who has been crowned with the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has played only eight games for his team this season because of the recurring pain he has suffered for months in his left knee. His club announced at the end of November that the player would move to Qatar where he “will undergo a treatment plan … to address the discomfort he feels.”
