Olivier Giroud (36) and Jorginho (101 from the penalty spot) scored Chelsea’s goals, while Liverpool’s Sadio Mane (48 and 95) scored.
Both penalties were successful, except for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who was saved by Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian.
Chelsea made a remarkable attacking performance in the first half, at a time when Liverpool seemed incapable of disturbing the opponent’s goal, before his performance improved in the second half, and missed a host of dangerous opportunities.
