Elche vs Real Betis Prediction & Match Preview

Elche vs Real Betis Prediction & Match Preview

Elche and Real Betis face each other in a highly-anticipated La Liga game at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero.

Los Franjiverdes continue with their habit of producing much better displays at home than on the travels, with the team eyeing their third consecutive victory on home soil.

Lucas Boye is banned for the hosts, while both Antonio Barragan and Jony Alamo miss the game with injuries.

Los Beticos quickly bounced back from a heart-breaking loss to Sevilla, with the team beating Levante 2-0 before the international break.

The Andalusians aim to stay in the Europa League berth, but beating Elche on the road is easier said than done.

A close encounter is on the cards, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Cristian Tello is back, while Dani Martin and Victor Camarasa should be the only absentees in the away team.

Team News:

Elche are expected to be boosted by the return of Antonio Barragan from injury this weekend, but Lucas Boye is suspended due to the booking that he picked up against Getafe last time out.

Boye's spot in the final third could be taken by Guido Carrillo, while Barragan is expected to return to the team at right-back, with Helibelton Palacios dropping to the bench.

Tete Morente, Raul Guti and Ivan Marcone should all keep their spots, though, meaning that Pablo Piatti might have to accept a position on the bench once again.

As for Betis, Victor Camarasa and Dani Martin remain on the sidelines through injury, but Pellegrini's side did not pick up any fresh problems over the international break.

There might only be one change to the side that started against Levante, with Aitor Ruibal potentially coming in for Diego Lainez, who could drop down to the bench.

William Carvalho, Juanmi and Joaquin are all pushing for starts, but Borja Iglesias should again lead the attack with support from Sergio Canales and Fekir, while Guido Rodriguez will line up in midfield.
