Sweden vs Georgia Prediction & Match Preview

25 March 2021 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET World Cup Qual

Friends Arena will host Thursday’s World Cup qualifier between Sweden and Georgia.

The Swedes were struggling in the UEFA Nations League, with the team collecting only three points in total from possible 18.

However, the return of veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic has surely given Sweden a boost ahead of upcoming qualifying matches, and, as a result, the hosts are seen as hot favourites to beat Georgia at Friends Arena.

Yet another man to watch in the home team will be Leipzig attacker Emil Forsberg, who was deployed up front as a lone forward in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld.

Considering that the Georgians are not regarded as good travellers, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home team.

In their last home game Sweden defeated Croatia 2-1, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on Jan Andersson’s troops.
