Juventus set Cristiano Ronaldo price as Jorge Mendes springs into life

Juventus set Cristiano Ronaldo price as Jorge Mendes springs into life

Juventus will allow Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club this summer and won't be offering him a new contract any time soon, according to reports.

He was signed with the aim of helping Juventus win the Champions League for the first time since 1996.

Despite their dominance of Serie A, they've consistently fallen short in Europe, and crashed out of the Champions League again this week against Porto.

In the aftermath, it was reported that Juventus are set to rebuild their squad around younger players, with Ronaldo not having a long-term role.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid for a fee of €120 million in 2018. Since then, the Portuguese has won the Scudetto twice, Coppa Italian twice but no European glory.

Under 3 different managers, Juventus haven’t made it past the quarter finals in the Champions League since 2018. Juventus signed Ronaldo as a 33 year old to help them win the Champions league. However, it looks as though he might be leaving without a 6th Champions league to his name.

Several reports have linked him with a move away from the club and El Chiringuito via Calciomercato says Real Madrid is trying to bring him back.

They haven’t been able to win the Champions League since he left them and he seems to be the missing piece in their current team.

The report says the Spanish side and his agent, Jorge Mendes, have already held preliminary talks about the move.

Although he has failed to help Juve achieve their European goals, Ronaldo remains one of the most important players at the club and losing him will make them struggle even more.
