Cyprus vs Slovakia Prediction & Match Preview

24 March 2021 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET World Cup Qual

Cyprus and Slovakia go head to head at Neo GSP Stadium in what is expected to be a close World Cup qualifier.

Cyprus failed to impress in the UEFA Nations League, with the team finishing the process in the ultimate position in Group 1.

The Cypriotes are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign, but they face a difficult task in Wednesday’s clash against Slovakia.

The Slovaks played last their game in November, with the team losing a heart-breaking 2-0 loss to their neighbours Czech Republic.

Stefan Tarkovic’s men are eager to return to winning ways, but seeing that key midfielder Marek Hamsik misses the game through injury, we are tempted to put our money on draw.

Inter defender Milan Skriniar will be the man to watch in the away side. Fellow defender Martin Skrtel is out of contention as well.
