AC Milan vs Juventus Prediction & Match Preview

AC Milan vs Juventus
Italy Serie A
Date: Wednesday, 6 January 2021
Kick-Off at 19.45 UK
Venue: Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Milan.

There will be fireworks when Milan and Juventus face each other at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the Serie A derby.

The Rossoneri recorded a 2-0 win over Benevento at the weekend, with the team retaining their ten-point advantage over Juve, and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the midweek showdown.

Even though talented midfielder Sandro Tonali is banned, we predict that the league leaders are going to grab something from the match.

The likes of Bennacer, Gabbia, Ibrahimovic, and Saelemakers remain in the recovery room for the hosts. The Bianconeri, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Udinese, and they managed to get one in style.

Since Andre Pirlo’s troops are likely to go for a win in the Serie A derby as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Juan Cuadrado returns from suspension for the visitors.

Team News:

Both clubs will be without integral players for Wednesday's clash but Milan coach Pioli will be worst-hit, as Ibrahimovic, Ismael Bennacer, Matteo Gabbia and Alexis Saelemaekers trained separately from the main squad on Monday and are not expected to be ready.

After his dismissal against Benevento, Bennacer's stand-in Tonali will serve a one-match ban, so Rade Krunic may be required to join Kessie in the Rossoneri engine room.

Meanwhile, Juventus have second-top scorer Alvaro Morata (muscle injury) and Alex Sandro (COVID-19) out of action, so Danilo will cover the Brazilian full-back's absence and Dybala continues up front.

Fortunately for Pirlo though, Juan Cuadrado and Adrien Rabiot return from suspension and could both start against Milan, with right-back Cuadrado slotting into a four-man defence and Rabiot in contention with Rodrigo Bentancur for a slot in midfield.

AC Milan possible starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Krunic, Kessie; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Leao; Rebic
