Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig Prediction & Match Preview

Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig
Germany – Bundesliga
Date: Wednesday, 16 December 2020
Kick-off at 19:30 UK/ 20:30 CET
Venue: PreZero Arena (Sinsheim).

All eyes will be on PreZero Arena when Hoffenheim and Leipzig face each other in the Bundesliga round 12.

Hoffenheim did well to book their place in the Europa League knockout stages, but they will be fully focused on the Bundesliga in the upcoming period.

A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be fit-again Croatia attacker Andrej Kramaric. The Red Bulls, on the other hand, aim to overtake Bayern Munchen in top position in the standings.

Leipzig faced no difficulties in a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen, and they are seen as favourites to win the midweek clash as well.

Hoffenheim have been anything but impressive at the back in the first half of the season, which is probably the main reason why away win should be considered.

Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann can count on key players for the clash against his former club.

Team News:

Hoffenheim will be without the suspended Posch and Grillitsch, with Sebastian Rudy likely to move over to the right flank and Munas Dabbur awaiting the nod in attack.

Benjamin Hubner, Pavel Kaderabek, Sargis Adamyan, Ermin Bicakcic, Kostas Stafylidis and Jacob Bruun Larsen are all unavailable through injury, meanwhile, leaving Hoeness with very few options to change his side.

Leipzig, meanwhile, remain without long-term absentees Lukas Klostermann, Konrad Laimer and Fabrice Hartmann, while Hwang Hee-chan and Benjamin Henrichs will not make the trip to Hoffenheim due to coronavirus and a knee issue respectively.

Nagelsmann likes to rotate his side, so having not started in the win against Bremen, we can expect the likes of Angelino, Emil Forsberg and Tyler Adams to come into the starting XI given the quick turnaround between fixtures.
