Everton vs West Ham Prediction & Match Preview

Everton vs West Ham
England – Premier League
Date: Friday, 1 January 2021
Kick-off at 17:30 UK/ 18:30 CET
Venue: Goodison Park.

Everton and West Ham United take on each other in a highly-anticipated game at Goodison Park in what is expected to be a very exciting game.

The Toffees head into the first game of the year with a severely-weakened squad, with all Richarlison, Rodriguez, Gbamin, Digne, Delph, and Allan missing the clash through injuries.

Even though Everton have turned their Goodison Park into a real fortress, home win should not be considered this time out.

The Hammers, on the other hand, head into the match following a goalless with Southampton.

The capital club have been having their ups and downs in the first half of the season, but seeing that David Moyes is likely to field the best possible side against his former club, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Defender Arthur Masuaku is the only absentee in the away team.

Team News:

A third game in less than a week will almost certainly result in Moyes making changes to his West Ham XI.

Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio are all in line to return for the Hammers, while Vladimir Coufal will expect to return at right-back.

Having impressed on his first Premier League start of the season, Craig Dawson will also expect to keep his place in defence.

Everton boss Ancelotti is still unable to call upon James Rodriguez, who has been absent since December 5.

The Italian is likely to name the same side which started at Sheffield United, a decision which would mean a second successive start for youngster Anthony Gordon.
