Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham
UEFA Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 5 March 2019
Kick-Off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Signal-Iduna-Park (Dortmund).
Borussia Dortmund is looking for a miracle to continue their Champions League campaign when they host Tottenham on Tuesday in the second leg of the final round.
Borussia Dortmund suffered a humiliating loss at Wembley 3 weeks ago and needed a clean four-point lead to reach the quarter-finals.
But Dortmund's task will not be easy for an English team that appears to be the closest to qualifying for the quarter-finals for the first time since the 2010-2011 season and the second in the new competition system, after reaching the semifinals in their first game under the old system (the 1961-06 season).
The German team has to correct its defence mistakes to avoid conceding goals to make it more difficult, especially as it faces a horrific attack led by international leader Harry Caen and South Korean international Hyung-min Son.
"At this point, we need to stabilize quickly or things will get harder," said Dortmund captain Marco Ruiz after the sudden loss to Augsburg 1-2 on Friday.
Borussia Dortmund has won one of their last seven matches in a row, allowing Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to take them into the lead after being nine points behind.
