Manchester United open talks with Marcus Rashford over new contract worth up to £150,000-a-week

Manchester United are currently in serious negotiations to renew striker Marcus Rashford's contract, Telegraph newspaper reported.

The 21-year-old striker has been on his best days with United after new coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer began to involve him in the forward position instead of the left-wing striker he used to play under Jose Mourinho.

Rashford has rewarded Solskjaer six goals in 10 games, including the only win over Leicester in the last game of the Premiership.

The England Player contract ends with the summer of 2020, with the possibility of automatic renewal for an additional season, but the club wants to renew it for a long time to include the survival of Rashford within his ranks for long, as Solskjaer sees the future of the attack with Frenchman Anthony Martial, who renewed his contract already last week.

The newspaper said the new contract for Rashford will include a doubling of the week's salary to nearly £ 150,000 than other performance-related incentives.
