Real Madrid desperate to Bernardo Silva in a £70million summer raid

A press report said on Sunday, Real Madrid are aiming for a new player from Manchester City after Ibrahim Diaz joined the club in January, a newspaper report said on Sunday.

The Daily Mail newspaper said Real were planning to sign Bernardo Silva, the Manchester City playmaker.

Real Madrid believe that Bernardo Silva will be more creative in the team's line of attack in the coming period, given his impressive showing with City this season.

The Portuguese will have three and a half years in contract with Manchester City, and the latter will now have to enter into negotiations to renew and improve Silva's contract for fear of Real's temptations.

According to Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, the 24-year-old Bernardo Silva is the legitimate heir to his 33-year-old teammate David Silva.

Bernardo Silva joined Manchester City in the summer of 2017 against 43.5 million pounds from Monaco.

Real Madrid are continuing their efforts to improve the quality of the team during the summer transfer period, after falling this season after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
