According to Sky Sports, the player and his friends in Sassuolo were released on Monday.

"I am coming to Barcelona, sad to leave Sassuolo, but it is a great opportunity," said the former Milan star.
"You do not ask me about Real Madrid, it was from the past ... I want to focus with Barcelona, and I hope to score in the Clasico, at the Santiago Bernabeu."
The 31-year-old has arrived in Barcelona, where he is preparing to undergo medical tests before joining the Catalan team on loan for 2 million euros, with an 8 million euro purchase option.
