Arsenal confirm Rob Holding has ruptured his anterior cruciate

Arsenal defender Rob Holding out for six and nine months with ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.

The Gunners centre-back was forced off on a stretcher in just the first half of his side’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United this weekend.

Holding was assessed by Gunners medics following the fixture, and Arsenal have on Friday confirmed the defender’s worst fears.
